Project Management
The Open Science Framework (OSF) is a free, open source project management tool developed and maintained by the Center for Open Science. The OSF can help scholars manage their workflow, organize their materials, and share all or part of a project with the broader research community.
Data Collection
Google Forms is a free survey tool that lets you collect information from people. It automatically enters all data collected from the surveys into a Spreadsheet where you can easily view the organized information and edit it if you so desire. Forms can be answered anonymously or can collect the respondent's name, and has a wide variety of other customization options.
SurveyMonkey is an online survey tool. It offers a limited free version; several paid options with more features are also offered.
Data Visualization
Google Charts is user-friendly and compatible with all browsers and platforms. It covers a wide range of data visualization types — from simple line and bar graphs to complex hierarchical tree maps — making Google charts suitable for almost any project.
An extension of Google Charts, Google Data Studio provides further functionalities to create full reports based on analytics. These reports are fully customizable with data visualizations and trackable via Google Analytics, giving you a wider view of your data.
Tableau Public is free software that can allow anyone to connect to a spreadsheet or file and create interactive data visualizations for the web.
Writing/Presentation Tools
LaTeX is a document preparation system. Many publishers ask authors to provide LaTeX source of their article or book. Overleaf is an easy to use online LaTeX editor with integrated rapid preview. You can use Overleaf to create a document.

Sharing and Publishing Platforms
Zenodo is a multi-disciplinary repository that can be used to publish all sorts of research results. Zenodo accepts data sets as well as publications, presentations, posters, multimedia, software, or educational resources. Uploading on Zenodo is not restricted and any object deposited will get a DOI as a persistent and unique identifier.
Figshare is an online, cloud-based, multi-disciplinary repository. The provide their own instructions on signing up, uploading and publishing data, sharing and citing data, and finding data already in the repository.
GitHub is a website that is cloud-based, where researchers can share code, data, and documents with other people.
Research Visibility
Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) is both a standard and a service to help researchers establish and maintain their scholarly identity. ORCID helps distinguish researchers with similar or identical names, differences in spellings or translations of names across languages, and change in their name or affiliations over their career.
A Google Scholar profile is a very simple way of collating your publications (and citations to them) so that others can find your work and often find an accessible copy that they can read. Once you have set up the profile, you can choose automatic updates so you don't need to spend a lot of time updating your publications list. If you create a Google Scholar profile, your profile will come high up the page rankings if people are searching for your work.
ResearchGate is an "academic social network" that aims "to connect researchers and make it easy for them to share and access scientific output, knowledge, and expertise." Establishing and maintaining a presence on ResearchGate is a way for CUTN faculty to further promote their research.
Impactstory is an open-source website that works seamlessly with ORCID and Scopus to help researchers explore and share the the online impact of their research.

SCImago Journal & Country Rank
SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a publicly available resource that includes journals and scientific indicators developed from the information provided in the Scopus database. Journals are ranked by the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), which attempts to factor in subject field, quality, and reputation of a journal on citations.
